Classes for Teenagers
Improvisation: The Roots of Shakespeare's Comedy
An opportunity to play with improvisation and explore your creativity. Shakespearean theatre was inspired partially by the great improvisational theatre of the commedia del'arte movement. In this class we will ignore Hamlet's advice to the players: "And let those that play your clowns speak no more than is set down for them..." and experiment with acting in the moment, opening up to the creative impulse, and always saying "Yes!"

Summer Performance - All's Well That Ends Well

Work with a professional director to rehearse and perform Shakespeare's richly complex love story about a girl who loves a boy who doesn't love her, even though she's super cool and he's a bit of a cad. There are great roles, lots of comedy, and... a twist ending! An opportunity to perform a lesser known Shakespeare play that packs a big punch.
