Audition Information
Casting for the 2008 summer season has been completed, however we will be holding auditions for the role of Mamillius on Saturday, April 19 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Forest Meadows Amphitheatre. We are looking for a child actor who appears to be 5 - 10 years old. Rehearsals begin June 10 and performances continue through August 24. Equity actors please prepare two contrasting monologues, total 3 min. max; non-Equity please prepare one Shakespearean monologue, 2 min. max.
Please prepare to use your full voice. Bring photo/resume to the audition. We will also see a short example of any special talents (clowning, singing, musical instrument, etc.) if you wish. We do not recommend sending a photo/resume in advance.

At the Artistic Director’s discretion, an audition appointment may be scheduled after your resume has been received. Our theatre is a large outdoor amphitheatre and vocal quality is extremely important; therefore we do not accept videotape auditions nor do we cast from submissions.
2008 Schedule:
Rehearsals begin June 10 with performances through August 24 for WINTER'S TALE and AMADEUS.
Rehearsals begin July 29 with performances through September 28 for MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
Contracts & Stipends:
Marin Shakespeare Company operates under an AEA Letter of Agreement contract; the salary will be a minimum of $415/week. We cast the remainder of the company from non-AEA actors; the non-AEA stipend is $600 per show; you may gain EMC (Equity Membership Candidacy) points.
Paid teaching work is also available; we draw most teachers from our company. Let us know if you would like to be considered to teach youth classes.
Marin Shakespeare has a Professional Actor Training Intern Program. Interns take classes with company members (acting, audition, combat, voice, other skills) as well as with master teachers. Interns can gain EMC points. No tech work is required, although tech and teaching assignments are available. We generally accept 8 - 12 Interns per year. There is a $950 fee; full and partial scholarships and some free or low cost housing are available. Please contact us for info and application. click
