As You Like It As You Like It is a bucolic vision of mismatched lovers, cross-dressing, mistaken identities and unjust exile, set in the Forest of Arden, an echo from Shakespeare's own past.

One of Shakespeare's most appealing heroines, Rosalind, is plucky, resourceful and skeptical about love.

She loves Orlando, but he doesn't love her. Both are unjustly banished from court, and flee into the Forest of Arden. a pastoral Eden, where a gender-bending Rosalind disguises herself as a young man named Ganymede, and instructs Orlando in the ways of love.
